We pride ourselves on the positive relationships we build with local businesses, community groups and the spaces where we live and work.
Team from Dana Petroleum at Bennett House during their volunteer day in 2024
Local businesses
We form relationships with local businesses of all shapes and sizes, and deeply appreciate the support and friendship they offer. From painting fences during staff volunteer days, allowing us to collect at their premises, taking part in our challenges and undertaking their own sponsored events in our benefit, there are so many ways to work together that bring benefits to all parties.
If you would like Forget Me Not Club to come to your place of work and give a talk about brain health and dementia, or you're looking for a 'charity of the year' to support, or even have some daredevils among your staff team who might undertake challenges for us, please get in touch - we'd love to hear from you!!
Community groups
Just as with local businesses, we welcome opportunities to speak to and work with community groups of all kinds. Whether taking part in public consultation projects and advocating for more dementia-friendly settings, or delivering talks to community groups, churches, or public bodies, we are always ready to share our knowledge and petition for the welfare of people with dementia and their families.
Please get in touch if you'd like to arrange a time for us to come and speak to your group about our work.
I would like to express my deepest thanks and gratitude to the Forget Me Not Club that my Father attends. It has made a huge improvement in the quality of my parents’ lives. My Father’s whole demeanour has changed, he is happier and whilst he does not remember what he did when I speak to him on the phone in an evening he can tell me he has enjoyed himself. He cannot get out of the car fast enough when Mum drops him off at the club in the morning. The 3 hours respite it provides for my Mother is a life saver. She is in her 80’s and provides 24/7 care for my Father. She is now able to attend her craft club and see her friends, which gives her quality of life too. Once again, thank you for all you do.
Taking part
We love when people take part in challenge events on our behalf, and will offer support in any way we can. Please get in touch if you have a challenge up your sleeve!! You can see more about brave souls who have run, walked and done all sorts of other things on our behalf under the articles tab.
